Two years ago, I biked 2000 km on a solo trip that has utterly changed my perspective on life. I’ve also been injured for the past year and a half, unable to run, bike, or swim, and the thing I’ve been telling myself is that the moment I’m back, I’m going to finish cycling to Mexico from Vancouver. My quad tendon is still in progress, but I’m working hard, doing everything I can to get back.
So this April, after I finish writing my exams, I want to finish and pursue one of my dreams: finishing the bike ride from Canada to Mexico. I have roughly 1000 km left. Now I can’t promise my leg will be ready in time, but I can promise I’ll do my best to make it happen, and I'll give it my all; even if I can’t complete the ride then, the next chance I get, I’ll do it. I'm going to bike more slowly this time around, hoping to complete the journey in 10 days. I want to slow down, to soak in the views, take dips in the Pacific Ocean, frolic through the fields of Big Sur, dance into the sunset, and let life sweep me off my feet without a strict plan or deadline.
We raised almost 5,000 Canadian dollars to build wells in Africa last time. This time around, I’m raising money for soup kitchens around Vancouver. Every day we live, we make an impact, and we must realize that we, as individuals, make a difference. I hope that you'll support my journey to make an impact on our city. Let’s make a greater change!
I'll update you all soon!
Thank you!!!
